Faye Armitage for Congress, District 7!

Mica's Scorecard

District 7 runs from the outskirts of Jacksonville along the Atlantic coast and the I-95 to Daytona Beach, and then inland along the I-4 to include the Seminole county portion of Orlando.

While the district is only marginally republican, John Mica is the second most extremist congressman among all 25 Florida congressmen:

In addition there are 22% independents who have traditionally voted largely Republican, but are now expected to overwhelmingly vote Democratic due to the changed political environment.

Mica has kept a low profile, and likes to present himself as a moderate Republican, so he has worked hard to conceal his extremist voting record as a Bush Loyalist and Rubberstamp Republican.

Here is a case in point:.

The League of Conservation Voters recently released its 2007 scorecard, and Bill Nelson was one of three senators to get a 100 percent rating on votes deemed key to the environmental group. Sen. Mel Martinez got 13 percent.
Note John Mica's abysmal showing with a score of just 5! Truly the worst of the worst score on environmental issues.
Democrats and Republicans, who are concerned about preserving the environmental beauty of our North East Florida Coastline, and the St Johns River, should think twice about who they want representing their district. It's time for change. We WILL unseat John Mica!
